Bibione and environmental protection

In 1996, Bibione received the Blue Flag, which is awarded every year only to the sea resorts that comply with high sea water, service, cleanliness and safety standards. In every year thereafter was renewed this important recognition. Moreover, Bibione is also the first European Touristic Area to implement an EMAS-Certified Environmental Management System which monitors water quality, waste disposal, treatment plants, selective waste sorting and urban design.
